Janet Bailey

Janet is a speaker, writer, and coach who helps busy people communicate more effectively and lead more balanced lives. Drawing from her background in business, journalism, and the nonprofit sector, Janet earns praise from audiences throughout the country for her practical content, presented with warmth and humor. A West Coast native, Janet gained early experience in both writing and entrepreneurship at the age of eight, when she published a weekly neighborhood newspaper and sold it door-to-door for a nickel a copy. With a few more years and a degree in journalism and psychology from Stanford under her belt, she moved to Manhattan. She held staff positions in publishing, the performing arts, and public relations before starting her speaking and writing business and returning to her California roots. For many years, she has researched keys to professional and effectiveness, interviewing thought leaders ranging from Bill Moyers to Warren Bennis to Dr. Deepak Chopra. She shares her accessible and practical solutions to common career and personal challenges in her articles, seminars, and keynotes.
